Not meeting your insurance deductible can be financially stressful but it can unexpectedly lead to a silver lining. Since you're paying out-of-pocket until the deductible is met, you have the autonomy to choose the counselor who best fits your needs, rather than being restricted by insurance networks. This opens doors to finding the perfect match for your therapeutic journey. I work with the insurance companies I’m credentialed with to ensure your sessions are being financially recorded so we can start using your insurance benefits the second your deductible is met!

If you're concerned about the cost of counseling, please don't hesitate to contact me. I reserve spaces specifically for those who may be facing financial difficulties.

Your co-pay is a set amount you pay at each counseling session, kind of like a small fee. To find out if you have one, just check your insurance card or call your insurance provider. They'll let you know if you're all set or if there's a co-pay or co-insurance to consider. Easy peasy!
-
Reaching out to your insurance company for counseling services is like dialing up a friendly helper to guide you through the process. Give them a ring or check their website to see what counseling options are covered under your plan. They'll provide all the details you need, from finding in-network providers to understanding your coverage and any costs involved. It's like having a personal assistant for your mental health journey! Check out the back of your insurance card for all of the contact information you need!
Rylee Graves Counseling Services requires all clients to contact their insurance companies to determine if counseling services are covered.
I strive to help my clients understand their insurance coverage before their first session, but you will be able to obtain more accurate information about your plan than I can. I strongly encourage all clients to reach out to their insurance providers for clarification on coverage, as you will ultimately be responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.
-
A deductible is the amount of money a client must pay out-of-pocket for healthcare services, including counseling, before their insurance begins to cover the costs.
It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine if you have a deductible plan. Please notify Rylee about your plan so we can discuss your options together.
When a counselor submits claims to the insurance company, it helps track the amount of money you've paid toward your deductible. Even if the insurance doesn't cover the session right away, submitting the claim is essential to document these payments, ensuring that the services you've paid for count toward reaching your deductible. Once the deductible is met, insurance may begin covering a portion of the costs, making future sessions more affordable for you.
If you have not met your deductible and would like to apply your counseling services toward that amount, you will be required to pay the full counseling fee for services until your deductible is met. Because of this, you will not be eligible for sliding scale services.

The price structure of counseling reflects the value of the therapist's expertise and training. This fee covers not only the session itself but also the therapist's years of education, specialized training, ongoing professional development as well as overhead costs. Additionally, it accounts for the therapist's time spent outside of sessions, such as preparing personalized treatment plans and staying up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic techniques. In essence, investing in private counseling ensures you receive high-quality care from a qualified professional committed to your well-being.

The initial counseling session often costs more because it typically involves additional time and resources for the therapist. During this session, the therapist conducts a comprehensive assessment to gather essential information about the client's background, concerns, and goals. This assessment helps the therapist tailor their approach and develop a personalized treatment plan. Additionally, the first session involves paperwork, such as obtaining informed consent and discussing policies and procedures. Overall, the higher cost of the first session reflects the extra time, effort, and expertise required to lay the foundation for effective counseling moving forward.
